Numerical simulation of cellar structures and Mach reflection of gaseous detonation waves

The Deflagration to Detonation Transition (DDT) process of combustible gases and Mach Reflection of a detonation wave on a wedge have been numerically simulated with a simplified two-step model (ZND) of chemical reaction and the improved method of space-time conservation element and solution element (CE/SE). The computational results were primarily analyzed. The numerical results were compared with experimental results. Compared results are satisfactory. This is the first time to apply CE/SE method to the chemical reaction flow, especially to the simulation of DDT process of combustible gases and Mach reflection of detonation waves.
