摘要：
This paper describes a new method of selecting a coherent group of generators for a power system reduction. A factor analysis using the data of voltage phase-angles of generators is applied to the selection of coherent groups. The appropriateness of this method is discussed by comparison with the stability measure of the reduced system and that of the original system, and is illustrated by some numerical examples using the data obtained by computer simulation.
