摘要
Cr(VI) in wastewaters was adsorbed on iron(III) hydroxide at pH 4. 5 and, after the separation of the precipitate, Cr(VI) was desorbed in alkaline solution of pH 10. 5 By this procedure, Cr(VI) was selectively recovered from wastewaters containing Cd(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), and Cr(III). Phosphate and sulfate ions interfered with Cr(VI) adsorption. The phosphate interference was suppressed by increasing the amount of iron(III) hydroxide, and the sulfate interference was appreciably suppressed by the use of calcium hydroxide instead of sodium hydroxide as a neutralizing agent.
