The steam superheat level established for certain designs of steam boilers, steamlines and turbines is not a limiting one with respect to strength conditions of the steam reheat system. Increases in reheat temperature would enable fuel consumption to be lowered number of generating units with systems of the kind. VTI has conducted investigations to study the feasibility of operation of a number of generating units with boilers of series TGMP-314A and TGMP-314P at higher reheat steam conditions.
