The electronic packaging of military systems requires meeting the diverse requirements of ground-based, shipboard and airborne applications. Examples of these various classes of equipment are presented in the discussion, ranging from a computer packaged on a single PC board for an avionics system, to a below-deck shipboard radar modulator weighing 1 one-half ton.
