Like all familiar engineering plastics, the UP resins offer no further scope for spectacular new developments. In a generally declining market of UP resins, development work is concentrated on improving the resin systems with regard to advances in process technology and special-purpose applications. These are shown in the report. An important part in this connection is played by rationalization in processing and adjustment to the increased environmental consciousness.
