GLOBAL DIURNAL VARIATIONS OF THE ATMOSPHERIC ELECTRIC FIELD OVER THE CONTINENTS.

摘要
The unitary diurnal variations of electric field strength are constructed for the earth's continents. It is found that the amplitudes and phases of these curves depend on the longitude of the observations. It is shown that the field due to the diurnal variation of the earth's charge, which is related to local conditions over the continents, is approximately equal in magnitude to the unitary variation observed over the oceans but phase-opposed to it.
