摘要
An automatic, computer-controlled system was installed on a batch-type sealed quench furnace engaged in general-production heat treatment. The concept of ″total furnace management″ was realized since operator influence was removed from all aspects of atmosphere control, load sequencing, furnace safety, and process data recording. The elimination of load-sequencing delays and the implementation of optimized boost-diffuse process parameters have given rise to increases in furnace utilization of approximately 25%.
