HP/HT wells in a subsea environment

Technological issues associated with high pressure/high temperature (HP/HT) wells are becoming better understood. Exploiting such reservoirs from subsea wells may, however, pose more difficult problems. The developments necessary to achieve technical and economical viability of subsea completion designs for the exploitation of HP/HT offshore fields are outlined. Availability of production level of safe operation, together with the capital and operational investment costs are believed to be the main parameters for this assessments.
