This paper synthesizes the research carried out by the Laboratories des Ponts et Chaussees, and the results obtained concerning the design of deep foundations, grouted anchors and micropiles. Both the research on the axial bearing capacity (static test procedure, measurement devices, installation techniques, design rules and test data treatment), and the research on the overturning behavior (reaction curve from the pressuremeter, experimental assessment, numerical resolution, example) are mentioned.
