Styrene Polymers.

The thermoplastic styrene polymers represent one of the three most important groups of mass produced plastics materials. kAfter the polyolefins and PVC they take third place as far as world consumption is concerned. Their wide range of end uses is due to their balanced selection of properties and simple and economic processing, excellent mouldability and excellent surface finish coupled with high dimensional stability and a favourable weight/price relation. ABS polymers and other impact grade styrene-based resins are also included in this review which gives the present day position in this field in reference to materials performances and applications. Foams and dispersions are not included in this report.
