Research on furnace slagging of 330 MW boiler of Dalate Power Station

Based on thermal calculation and analysis of the No. 3 boiler furnace of Dalate Power Plant in Inner Mongolia, the average gas temperature and the cross-section heat flux in each section from bottom to top of the furnace have been obtained under the high load operation condition. The dependence of different combination of four layers of vortex burners with variations of coal admitted to each layers on the furnace performance are predicted, finding 9 kinds of ways to reduce slagging. The slagging location can be found from the calculation results, the results show: the coal of Dalate Power Plant is heavy slagging, causing furnace, nose, super heater et al to slag, it is not accord with B&WB1025t/h boiler, which is in general agreement with the observation. The measures to reduce the furnace slagging are proposed.
