摘要
The evolution of an on-line model-based optimization system began with the development of steady-state simulators for specific processes. It proceeded through development of general purpose steady-state simulators with data reconciliation and optimization capabilities. This system, with interfaces to millwide information or data highway systems, executive software, displays and printers, can provide new and powerful tools for on-line optimization. Further developments to provide dynamic simulation, dynamic data reconciliation and performance attributes are now underway to improve performance and substantially widen the areas of application.
