U-Pb dating of baddeleyite and zircon from imandrites on the Kola Peninsula

摘要
The article presents an experiment conducted to execute U-Pb dating in an imandrite. The imandrite are subvolcanic facie of silicic extrusives. It is composed of albite-orthoclase, quartz, potassium feldspar and biotite flakes. Dark brown crystals known as baddeleyite were found in the sample. Zircons were extracted from the sample by hydraulic impact procedure. These Baddeleyite and Zircon fractions were decomposed and U and Pb were extracted. The uranium and lead compositions were determined by the isotopic dilution method.
