Hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) and zinc oxides were the big areas of activity in the past year. New HALS were introduced one specialty product for pigmented PP fibers and five general-purpose ones but much of the news concerns existing products, including FDA-clearance for a second HALS and the development of a stabilization system for polyurethane. New HALS concentrates were also introduced.
