摘要
Numerical equations were developed for the design of a heat exchanger for a plug-flow reactor in the addition of ethylene oxide to n-dodecanol. From the developed equations, computations were made on the required heat transfer coefficient, shell side pressure drop, actual area, heat generated per unit volume and actual overall heat transfer coefficient of the exchanger unit.
