Design and Performance of Continuous Blending Systems for the Homogenization of Cement Raw Materials.

For the homogenization of dry, ground cement raw materials the Fuller Airmerge system was used. Experience showed that continuous cascade blending is preferable to batchwise blending. Empirical criteria for the design of cascade blending systems are derived from this experience. A theoretical analysis of the performance of blending tanks in series operation has led to the construction of an electronic device which simulates the performance of any given system.
