摘要：
The development of new explosive systems and the significant increase in practical blast-hole diameters has increased the range of blasting designs available to the mining design engineer. Methods that may be used at the design stage to evaluate and assess the merits of alternative proposals are detailed. The influence of mine development, production drilling and primary blasting on total mining costs is analyzed by the use of numerical and graphical techniques.
