摘要
This study investigated the influence of chemical compositions on cracking and weldability using Al-5% Mg and Al-5% Si filler metals. EPMA reveals that low temperature eutectics are Mg//2Si when using Al-5% Mg filler metals and Mg//2Si-Si when using Al-5% Si filler metals. Provided these eutectics are melted by welding heat and then cracked in the cooling process, cracking sensitivity can be explained in terms of the eutectic temperature.
