摘要
The NO//x emissions from boilers fired by Latrobe Valley brown coal are, measured against the worldwide average, generally very low. Steam generators with capacities of between 120 MW and 500 MW (electrical output) have tangential firing, normally with vapour separation, for the stabilization of combustion. Coal with high moisture content (60 to 70% in raw) and with low nitrogen content (usually lower than 0. 6% in wf). the NO//x emissions from steam generators with Latrobe Valley brown coal are between 100 to 250 vpm (dry, corresponding to 7% O//2). The State Electricity Commission of Victoria has investigated the factors which affect NO//x emissions. The results of stoichiometry, air injection and burner parameters and the properties of the coal have been investigated in the laboratory for different types of Latrobe Valley brown coal. Conclusions have been drawn as to the factors which play a part in the formation of NO//x.
