摘要
Certain branches of the spectrum of electromagnetic surface waves that propagate along the plane interface between two homogeneous, magnetically active, plasmas can be derived by exploiting the continuity of the tangential components of the electric field at this interface. A system of equations describing such branches of the surface-wave spectrum is derived. The stability of the tangential discontinuity with respect to low-frequency electromagnetic perturbations is analyzed in the cold plasma approximation.
