摘要
This work presents a new framework of databases which helps substantially in improving man-machine interface in question answering and at the same time realizes flexible and efficient databases. Methods of human intelligence such as deduction and understanding capabilities are added to relational database management systems. Deduction and optimization are performed by equivalence transformations of relational algebraic formulas using a set of theorems and axioms which define words on an external schema as well as redundant and/or hierarchical data representations. Furthermore, relational algebraic formulas are converted to list manipulating programs by using data representation mappings and equivalence transformation rules.
