摘要：

The results from 2,089 water systems monitored were examined. Potential health effects on humans of the levels of radionuclides are examined. Types of water treatment needed for radionuclide removal are discussed. Recommendations are presented for treatment of water systems and for the evaluation of criteria for radium-228 monitoring and the need for a uranium standard.
