High pressure water jet pumps and associated equipment have become increasingly reliable. Two projects were carried out as much to demonstrate the capabilities of the tool as to accomplish the task. It is conformed that these tools have potentially significant benefit for construction. Water jet cutting allows precise cuts to be made, even in damaged rock. The current developments in the technique for underground work is presented.
