摘要：
The processes on a metal surface during chemical removal of scale are described, with a modern pickling plant taken as an example. The effects of acid concentration, temperature and iron sulphate content of the pickling solution on the pickling rate are considered from the point of view that the pickling process and the processing treatment of the pickling solution have to be regarded nowadays as one system, if the waste water purification problem is to be solved satisfactorily.
