摘要
A method is proposed for the theoretical determination of rarefaction in the zone of reverse currents behind a plane turbulent jet propagating in a transverse flow and for determining the trajectory of such a jet. The momentum equation is employed in projection on the direction perpendicular to the deflecting flow together with the conditions for transverse equilibrium at the nozzle edge and far from the source of the jet. The value of rarefaction obtained beyond the jet and the jet trajectory are in agreement with experimental data.
