摘要
The influence of ( alpha plus beta ) and beta heat-treating on tensile properties and creep behavior has been studied. A conventional ( alpha plus beta ) heat-treatment, 900 degree C/1hr ac and 500 degree C/24hr ac, was chosen to investigate creep behavior at 420 to 550 degree C. Creep resistance of the beta treated specimens is similar to that of the ( alpha plus beta ) specimens at temperatures below 450 degree C, while creep resistance of beta specimens is higher at temperatures above 500 degree C. The mean creep rates at second creep stage have been determined from 420 to 550 degree C and stresses from 9 to 60 kg/mm**2. Two regions with different gradients are shown. Transition from one to another depends on the heat treatment procedure and structure condition. When beta treatment (air cooling) at temperatures above the beta transus plus 30 degree C C is performed with normal ( alpha plus beta ) processed bars, creep resistance is 31. 6kg/mm**2 at 520 degree C C/100hr, approximating to that of IMI685.
