Research on motor terminal over-voltage caused by high-frequency PWM pulse

摘要
This paper investigates the principle of motor terminal over-voltage by analyzing the transmission and reflection of PWM pulse wave on cable using transmission line theory. The relations between the over-voltage, cable and carrier-frequency are established by simulations based on the system model in which the changes of cable and motor parameter are presented because of high frequency of reflected pulse wave. Finally, the designed impedance-matching terminator effectively reduces the transient over-voltage.
