摘要
An investigation was made of contact fatigue and residual stresses of R6M5 steel after diamond grinding with AS4 100/80 wheels with B1, BP2, and BE binders, Hexanite grinding with Ga 100/80 wheels with B1 and BST binders, and electrocorundum grinding with a 24Al6SM1K7B wheel. Contact fatigue tests were made on an MKV-K. The residual stresses in the surface layers of the samples were measured by determination of the deformation by the strain measurement method after electrolytic etching of their semicylindrical surface. Use of synthetic diamonds and Hexanite as a cutting abrasive provides increased contact life compared with the use of an electrocorundum wheel.
