This paper presents the results of experiments on the generation of harmonics and frequency conversion in discretely distributed decimeter-band lines. Two types of systems were investigated. In one case the synchronous interaction conditions for passing waves were satisfied, in the other case the conditions for opposite fundamental signal and harmonic waves. The considerable length (50 stages) of the systems used made it possible to observe many phenomena, for the appearance of which an interaction over a distance of several wavelengths is required.
