摘要
This paper discusses the development of a digital transmission network operation system whose main purpose is advancement of surveillance functions. These functions are automatic analysis and recording of alarms from transmission equipment, and detection of digital error and short interruption. These are difficult in conventional surveillance devices. The design, detailed function and construction are described. Other factors described are data base constitution of transmission/line/circuit/equipment, analysis method, and transmission equipment surveillance common specification to unify the interface between transmission equipment and operation system.
