The PI-4 and PI-5 thermoelectric primary instrument transducers were developed to measure the average power and the energy of a single laser pulse, respectively, in order to satisfy the requirements on standard measurement means (SMM) of energy photometry for measurement means (MM) of the average power of laser radiation and for MM of the energy of pulsed laser radiation. The PI-4 and PI-5 transducers are identical in construction and their detecting unit is shown.
