摘要
Hot gas path components in heavy-duty industrial gas turbines are generally designed for theoretical lives of tens of thousands of hours based on extensive laboratory testing, evaluation and service experience. Yet because the effects of corrosion, erosion or foreign object damage are not totally predictable, bucket and nozzle distress requiring repair or replacement is a common concern for all gas turbine users. The enormous growth of industrial gas turbine installations throughout the world in the past 10 years has resulted in the need for and development of an extensive refurbishment industry geared to the repair of costly components in the turbine hot section.
