A presentation is given of the theoretical fundamentals for the determination of the wear resistance of hard powder alloys operating in a hydroabrasive jet. The author examines the external force conditions and the structural factors determining the mechanism and intensity of the direct brittle and polydeformational damage of the contact surface, and also the possibilities for increasing the resistance of the hard alloy to these actions.
