FOAMED POLYETHYLENE MOULDINGS.

This paper describes the BASF method of producing foamed polyethylene moulding which was first introduced during K'75. The technique is suitable for making moulding of any shape, which would otherwise have to be made up especially and at great expense from polyethylene foam. The new technique enables considerable financial material savings to be effected, as well as resulting in inexpensive atricles. With this technique it is now possible to open up end uses for polyethylene foams which had hitherto been reserved for other types of foam. For figures see German text.
