A review of technical methods of floor slab deflection calculation in slab-column systems is presented. The immediate and long lasting deflections of cracked and noncracked slabs are taken into consideration. A new method for the calculation of cracked slab deflections is proposed. The method is reported to give good conformability with the quoted foreign test results.
