摘要
A device is described for studying arc spot motion in magnetic field. Experimental curves are reported for the average velocity, and the results are analyzed statistically and presented as histograms which reveal a nearly Gaussian distribution. The factors responsible for irregular arc spot jumping and the effects this has on electrode erosion are discussed.
