Differential capacitance of the metal-electrolyte solution interface is usually described by a model of two series-connected capacitors. However, each capacitor can have a leakage resistance. This work demonstrates how one can avoid uncertainties arising under substitution of the model of series-connected capacitors by their electric equivalents for the description of the metal-solution interface and confirm it experimentally.
