SIMPLE CIRCUIT FOR A HIGHLY-STABLE GAMMA-RESONANCE SPECTROMETER.

A constant-acceleration gamma -resonance spectrometer which is highly stable with respect to velocity is described. Stability is ensured by equalizing the time required for the electromagnetic chopper to pass through half of its cycle and the duration of a half period of the operation of the address counter in the multichannel analyzer. The long-term velocity stability of the spectrometer, which is determined from sodium nitroprusside lines having the positions 0. 931 and 0. 781 mm/sec relative to a **5**7Co(Cr) source, amounts to 0. 0036 and 0. 0022 mm/sec, respectively.
