The aim of this material-oriented work was to contribute to the closing of the knowledge gaps regarding the dynamic strength behavior of spot-welded high-strength material specimens compared to mild unalloyed steels. Overlapped single-spot welded specimens of 0. 88 mm thickness were used by way of example to determine the shearing tensile dynamic strength values resulting under pulsating tensile stresses in the fatigue for finite life and endurance strength ranges for steel grades P 275, FeE 275 HF, FeE 355 HF, and comparatively for St 14. Due consideration was to be given also to combinations between St 14 and the high-strength steels, and the high-strength steels among one another.
