摘要：
This paper describes recent developments on a mechanized English translation system and some related fields mainly based on the author's work as well as some other research in Japan. A case frame is introduced as an intermediate structure. Several new parsing approaches are described which use precise linguistic information. Some structural transfer is described on a case structural basis. Some applications of machine translation are described related to automatic indexing.
