A brief survey of research on tillage aspects being conducted in Pakistan, and the potentials of direct drilling in various soils and agro-climates, is presented. The major areas of direct drilling aspects which need research in Pakistan are highlighted. Some disadvantages associated with direct drilling are also summarized. Refs.
