In the main glass-forming matrices (silicate, phosphate, germanate, and borate) activated by triple-charged ions of Eu, Sm, and Tb, the absolute values of the spectral-luminescence parameters have been determined; the set of these characterizes glasses as a luminophors of various types. The results were analyzed from the point of view of obtaining if possible high-efficiency luminescing media based on the synthesized glasses which would have the minimum photoinduced loss. It is shown that the sensitization of the Sm luminescence by Tb ions increases the effectiveness of using UV pumping light and significantly increases the clarity of the radiation.
