LIGHTING UP THE CRT SCREEN - PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS.

New computer technology in the workplace poses rapidly changing problems to lighting designers and engineers. They must consider not only traditional lighting needs in the office, but also new lighting requirements for Cathode Ray Tube tasks. Three organizations - the Gannett Publishing Company headquarters, the Press Room for Associated Press, Baltimore Bureau, and the Burroughs Corporation - have met this challenge through imaginative and responsive lighting systems designed for the new electronic office. These three office spaces presented interesting and exciting challenges to designers of lighting systems for high technology environments.
