The addition of CaO on magnetic and electrical properties of Ni-Zn ferrite has been studied for the first time in this research work. CaO is new in this field. The ionic radius of Ca2+(0.94 angstrom) is large as compared to that of Ni2+(0.68 angstrom) and Zn2+(0.69 angstrom). So, the main interest of this study was to investigate the properties of Ni-Zn ferrite with CaO additive. Various percentages of CaO were added to the Ni-Zn ferrite of composition Ni0.3Zn0.7Fe2O4. It was shown that CaO additive act beneficially on the densification and on improvement of electrical and magnetic properties of ferrite samples.
