NEW GENERATION PRODUCTION PLATFORM.

The basic design philosophy of the new Loading/Mooring/Storage (LMS) vessel was to develop a ship-type structure incorporating only proven state-of-the-art marine technology. The result is a semi-submersible vessel with ship mooring and loading facilities atop a box-shaped crude oil storage structure which floats well below the waterline, away from the effect of waves and clear of loading tankers' bows. The vessel's storage volume equals or exceeds that of a very large crude carrier (VLCC). It can handle tankers larger than those presently engaged in shuttle service. The high capacity loading system, capable of loading tankers with 800,000 bbls of crude in only 12 hours, significantly shortens vessel turnaround time and provides auxiliary storage as an adjunct to large producing platforms or primary storage for smaller platforms.
