摘要
Availability of high speed microprogrammed devices and the growing experience with them has led to many new applications in which they are added to MOS processors to preprocess high speed data. High speed bipolar processors and lower speed MOS processors are driven by different clocks, which can even be asynchronous. Emulator based development systems are capable of handling the development of most MOS processors, although usually not in real time. Development systems used to support microprogrammed bit slice processors have the speed to handle realtime support but have not been applied to MOS development.
