Simulation of crop response to water and nitrogen: An example using spring wheat

摘要
A model for simulating the effect of water and nitrogen on growth and grain yield of spring wheat is presented. This model attempts to offer a mechanistic integration of water, heat and solute transport, nitrogen transformation, and nitrogen and water uptake for the simulation of crop growth. Calibration and testing of the model is discussed, and improvements of the current approach are suggested.
