摘要：

A mathematical model is presented for determining the real unit volume of a pump taking into account the incomplete filling of all internal spaces by the pump fluid, from which the theoretical unit volume is determined. Moreover, two special cases are described: in the first case, the practical effects of the gas-filled spaces are slight; in the other, a large proportion of the working spaces remains filled with gas rather than liquid throughout the whole range of operating conditions.
