摘要：
The purpose of this paper is to describe a systematic procedure which can be used in the manipulation or reduction of thermodynamic derivates. In addition to demonstrating in a systematic way the motivation for some of the rearrangements involved in thermodynamic relations, the procedure has the advantage of clarifying the importance of a variety of very basic thermodynamic relations such as Maxwell's Relations. Such manipulations are often presented without a clear exposition of their basis and purpose. Finally, a new octahedron mnemonic diagram is presented and discussed.
